What is Maum Meditation?

Meditation that “subtracts” rather than “adds” thoughts and feelings. A method of looking back on the life you have lived, letting it go, and finding your naturally peaceful self.

What kind of meditation is Maum Meditation?

Maum Meditation is a “subtraction meditation” in which you look back on and discard the memories, thoughts and emotions you have stored in your mind since birth. Unlike methods that focus on the breath or a single object, it focuses on emptying the mind itself, which is the source of suffering.

Even in the same situation, each of us feels and reacts differently. That difference comes from the memories and ideas we have each stored in our minds over our lives. Maum Meditation is a process of recalling these memories one by one, understanding how they shaped who you are today, and letting them go.

How does subtraction meditation work?

1

Look back

Calmly recall the things you have experienced in life and the feelings and thoughts you had at the time.

2

Let go

Instead of holding on to the memories and feelings you recall, set them down one by one.

3

Discover

In the space that has been emptied, you gain a fresh view of yourself and your life.

Every step takes place at the center with a guide, and you progress at your own pace. Even with no meditation experience at all, anyone can start once they learn the method.
